Thanks for this post. You know, it sounds simple, but an important thing I did for my blog lately was to change the color of the “first container” from black to blue. The black color, I recognized, may be driving visitors away with scary images of the void and black holes and whatever. :)

Welcome and thanks for sharing. I’m not familiar with Blogger but I did have a WordPress.com blog when I first started. It was a lot easier because, as you say, the updates are taken care of when you’re not running a self-hosted blog.
