Hi Jannie. That sounds about right. He just needs to feel noticed and that he has been taken care of. Just give him a job and he'll be fine; take him for a walkie-poo every now and then, lol.

Hi Lance.
You're welcome! I've enjoyed sharing this. Hope you enjoy the "A list".

Hi Natural.
I think you've described the ego pretty well here... the self-centred person is embodying their ego -- its neediness to be seen, believed, heard, validated, etc.

Hi Liara.
It can be empowering or scary -- the realization that change is in our grasp. It's always helped to read other people's accounts and verify or reveal truth that was there all along. I'm looking forward to reading your book -- still waiting for its delivery.

Davina, you have an uplifting way of dreawin reader attention to writings of people they may not have heard of before. People are reminded change is always within their grasp. Its up to you to decide which directions work for you or whether you are content as you are where you are.

hey davina, when i see the word ego, i think of self importance or a self centered person. never looked at it as something that would or could hold someone back. you've written about it from a slightly different prospective and

"the ego steps in to save FACE with Fear, Attachment, Control and Entitlement."

i like that and it's true.

Natural’s last blog post..I’m Not Dead, yet

Hi Davina,
I've enjoyed this whole series very much. Thanks so much for putting it out here! The five A's and allowing ourself to be present - a powerful thought for me - and one I am going to focus more on.

Thanks again, Davina! This has all been great.

I've been reading a lot lately about this apparently peksy "ego" character. And I'm picking up that rather than offering him the finest parts of a succulent meal at the head of the table, he is best handled with a pat on the head and a "Go lie down now, Boy. You've already had your dinner."

But I'm still learning about all this, such a student of the Universe am I.

Hi Barb.
You're very welcome. That was a good phrase -- "sacrifice your aliveness". Thanks to David Richo.

Hi Pamir.
Personal development for the ego :-) I like what you've said here; no battle involved, just ackowledgment and awareness. We all have an ego and so we might as well find a way to co-exist.
