Hi Jannie.
You're absolutely right! It does look like a giant slice of bacon. Ha... Ha. YOU? Shy?

Hi Liara.
"You give yourself the opportunity to reframe priorities..." You know, that gave me a vision of someone shuffling cards -- what a neat concept! Reframing priorities becomes almost game-like.

Every moment you choose to experience the unfamiliar, you invite the self to step outside of what it thinks it knows. You give yourself the opportunity to reframe priorities, choices and where you perceive to be. It is meaningful to share this stage of your journey. Many people relate.

Davina,
I think your writing blossomed during your trip! It's the best I've read on your blog...not that I didn't like prior stuff.

The line Vared loved stood out for me as well.

Today I bow down to the wonderful life I have!

Hi Robin.
Thanks. I thought it was about time to show my face :-)

Hi Patricia.
Don't worry, I won't burn anything. We can always go OUT for dinner. Then no dishes to worry about.

(well I am not too good with the burned on stuff) but I love the warm soapy water and getting the job all done...

Hi Barbara.
Sorry bout that :-) But you'll have to admit... it was fun reading. I laughed so hard when I read that... me sitting on a log laughing like a goof.

The lamb was really easy to cook too. Just a sprinkle of the seasoning, put it in the pan and pop it in the oven. Delicious and easy. Thanks for your enthusiastic support of my writing... *smile*

Hi Sara.
Thanks! :-) It has been a journey in more ways than one... even beyond the actual holiday itself. Interesting how the process of writing opens up other doorways isn't it?

Hi Patricia.
You're welcome :-) And I LIKE the way your mind works! That would be a great job. I wouldn't even mind doing the cooking, just as long as someone ELSE did the dishes.

Davina,
I think you should go around to all the B&B's in the area and write posts...then put a donation box on your blog so that all of us who take vicarious vacations can assist you in paying for the trips....Keep including the food....and reviews

then I will add Ahhhhhhhhh......deep sigh.....Thank you

Davina -- I feel a sense of sadness as this series ends. I have so enjoyed traveling with you on this vacation. All of these posts have flowed as a day would unfold. There was no planned destination to them, but rather a sharing of your presentness within each day. Your words are a sensory delight.

I agree with Barbara...your writing rocks!!! Keep it up:~)

Hi Davina,

Like the others, I thought you had landed yourself a workman. I was getting a vision. Then you ended it. Darn. I had my fingers crossed for you.

Your meal looks scrumptious. I've never cooked lamb before, but after reading your story and seeing your photos, I really do need to try making it one day.

A B&B? Might that be a new passion of yours? You would make a terrific host. Plus, can you imagine how tantalizing the brochure would be?

Your writing rocks, Davina.

Hi Robin.
Ha, ha... fooled ya! :-) That roasted garlic was sooo good too. Don't think I could ever repeat it.

Hi Julie.
I figured that Rachael had a significance in this story. And spiders keep showing up in my life. Was bit by one once and had a major infection because of it. Had to receive antibiotic intravenously 2x per day at the hospital for 4 days! Spiders are talking to me??? Glad to have you along for this journey Julie :-)

I didn't even notice the double colon until you mentioned it. Ha, ha.

Hi Cath.
You should have seen the part I edited out! :-) No, I left Rachael there... for the next guests -- sigh. Hopefully they weren't arachnophobic. I do cook like that at home... less than I used to but I still do. I love to have people over and cook for them. Maybe I should open a Bed & Breakfast...

LOL Davina - I almost thought you'd started writing soft porn on your blog, or Jackie Collins was doing a guest post.

The appreciation for being alive that you talk about is a great feeling to have. It sounds like your holiday did you the world of good. But please tell me that you didn't decide to take Rachael home with you.
