I’m intrigued by your photograph. I’m sitting here wondering at the size of the knife that must have cut off that bit of moon, and the size of the one using it. Whoever it is must surely love their cheeses!

I wonder what moon cheese tastes like?

Hi Davina, I clicked over from Sara’s blog.

I’ve had much experience with missed opportunities to “seize the moment”. It’s this nagging belief that “…it would be so much better if I could get this going and that going before I get this going…” And your post illustrates that this is one fat fallacy.

I’m looking forward to seeing Mars soon. Had planned on visiting the Space Centre this weekend, but it’s been cloudy and raining.

Hi Davina – the moon is often just SO inviting, isn’t it? We don’t cease to be amazed by it. And Mars is looking amazing at the moment – big, bright and red (low in the north-east, from here)

Welcome back. I agree, there IS something special about those evenings; especially those summer evenings when it’s a comfortable temperature outside. You’ve reminded me of time spent searching for the constellations. I like how the Big Dipper so obviously changes position in the sky at different times of the year.
