A coach uses powerful questions to ignite the client’s curiosity and to help them dig deeper beyond what they are conscious of.

In a coaching relationship the client is seen as naturally creative, resourceful and whole; meaning they have the answers. It may not be apparent when caught up in the details of  life. A coach can be more objective than a friend or colleague.

I compare a coaching session to looking in a mirror, but more interactive. Each question the coach asks creates a new perspective for their client. They are able to see a new point of view by stepping outside of their current belief about themselves or a situation.

Life coaching is not about fixing the past. It is about recognizing where you are in your life, where you want to be and how you will get there. Most importantly, it is about asking yourself what is important about getting there.

Knowing why a person wants something is key because that carries more weight than knowing what they want.

You will feel inspired and enthusiastic when you are on track. This is called resonance. This vibration carries a higher frequency than stress, and is aligned with the creative power of the universe.

When a person is in this frame of mind there is less room for self-sabotage. When those stumbling blocks do appear, the coach steps in and encourages the client past them.
